Inspired by the courage and resiliency of Ukrainians, two NFSSE art students created wonderful paintings to promote peace.
Kenson Frink and Nick Larimore shared their idea with their teachers and from that point is was putting paint to paper to share their support through art for Ukrainian citizens.
Kenson painted a sunflower which is the official flower of Ukraine, and Nick painted fields of flowers as a sign of spring’s celebration of life and hope.
“I see the war on tv and see the tanks and know that war is bad,” explained Kenson. “I see the pictures of the children and feel sad that their houses and schools are being bombed.”
This is another example about the power of art and how it moves us.
